NSS About
- The independent NSS cell in Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda came in to existence w.e.f 19/07/2019 wide letter of OSD and State Liaison Officer NSS, U.P (No.04/70-NSS-19-21/17 dated 19/07/2019.) with allotment of 300 NSS volunteers.
- NSS CELL comprises three NSS units viz. Unit I (College of Agriculture), Unit-II (College of Horticulture) and Unit-III (College of Forestry) with strength of 100 NSS Volunteers in each unit.
- In the year 2021-22 the Strength of NSS Volunteers has been increased from 300 to 500 Wide letter of OSD and State Liaison Officer NSS, U.P (No.40/70-NSS-2022 dated 11/01/2022.)
- A total of 289 NSS volunteers completed their special camps of seven days .With this the NSS volunteers also completed their two years of NSS by 31st March 2021.
- A total of 477 NSS volunteers completed their special camps of seven days .With this the NSS volunteers also completed their two years of NSS by the year by 31st March 2023.
- A total of 766 NSS volunteers completed their special camps of seven days .With this the NSS volunteers also completed their two years of NSS by the year by 31st March 2023.
Vision
The vision is to build the youth with the mind and spirit to serve the society and work for the social uplift of the down-trodden masses of our nation as a movement.
Mission
The National Service Scheme has been functioning with the motto “NOT ME BUT YOU” in view of making the youth inspired in service of the people and hence NSS Aims Education through Community Service and Community Service through Education.
Broad Objectives
- Understand the community in which they work.

- Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem solving process.
- Develop a sense of social and civic responsibility among themselves.
- Utilize their knowledge in finding practical solution to individual and community problems.

- All the NSS Units (I, II, III, IV & V) of BUAT, Banda have organized 7 days’ specialcamp for NSS volunteers in their respective adopted villages viz., Tikari, Mawai Bujurg, Luthaura, Kanwara and Patan Ka Purwa, respectively
