About the Department:
The Department of Human Development and Family Studies is one of the major discipline under College of Community Science. Department is functioning with the aim to develop specialized human resources for pursue their career in the field of Human Development by discovering, assimilating, applying knowledge about life span in human Development.
Vision:
- To emerge as a global centre of excellence in teaching, research and extension in agriculture and allied sciences in the country to ensure sustained healthy food, nutrition and livelihood security.
Mission:
- The university is committed to the cause of Indian agriculture through its quality teaching, demand-driven and location-specific research and extension programmes in the light of dynamism of socio-economic and agro ecological conditions, management perceptions, international trade scenarios and government policies.
Objectives:
- To provide quality education and develop competency among students in preschool management
- To conduct research in the thrust areas of Human Development and Family Studies
- To sensitize the rural masses through dissemination of appropriate technologies regarding human development for enriching their life style.
