The Department of Family Resource Management, under the Faculty of Community Science started in the year2019. Family Resource Management is an interdisciplinary field that aims at improving the quality of life of families with focus on the individual, family and community at large. It includes the major field like Interior Design, Space Management, family economics, engineering, ergonomics, consumer education and various aspects of management to prepare students to be effective managers of the family and community,Occupational analyst, Interior designer and Consumer counsellor to a greater extent.The course is both relevant due to the changing needs of human beings with their environment.The department is designed to enable the students to develop professional competence for jobs in the private, public sector and to take up entrepreneurial ventures.
