New Year Celebrations :
The Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Comptroller, faculty members, non-teaching employees and students of the University assembled in the Multipurpose Hall of COA building to welcome the New Year 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. At this occasion, thoughts, wishes and hopes for the New Year were shared. Students recited some songs and poems at this happy event. The Vice Chancellor released and distributed the University Diary and Yearly Calendars.

Visit of Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on 19th June 2013
Shri Akhilesh Yadav, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh visited Banda on 19th June 2013 and chaired a large Public Ceremony for the distribution of Laptop Computers to the students. In this Programme, 19 students of Batch 2013 of students of B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture and B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture of the University participated and received Laptops from the Hon’ble CM. The Vice Chancellor of the University, welcomed the Hon’ble Chief Minister, apprised him of the progress and challenges faced by the University and submitted a document in this regard.
Visits of Cabinet and State Ministers of Agriculture, Uttar Pradesh
Shri Anand Singh, then Cabinet Minister of Agriculture visited the University Campus on 21st September 2012 and the made a round of the various buildings and construction activities on the Campus and had interaction with the University Administration. He also planted saplings on the Campus to memorialize his visit to the University. During his second visit to Banda on 4th December 2013, the Vice Chancellor along with Finance Comptroller of the University welcomed him at Circuit House and apprised him of the progress and challenges faced by the University. Shri Rajeev Kumar Singh, State Minister of Agriculture along with Shri Vishambhar Yadav, MLA visited the University Campus on 8th August 2012 and had a round of the various buildings under construction and had interaction with the University Administration and the C&DS officials. He also planted saplings on the Campus to memorialize his visit to the University.
Shri Manoj Pandey, then State Minister of Agriculture visited the University Campus on 23rd April 2013, and reviewed the infrastructural progress of the University. During his second visit to Banda on 21st November 2013, the Vice Chancellor along with Registrar and FC of the University welcomed him at Circuit House and apprised him of the progress and challenges faced by the University.
Visit of a Team led by Agricultural Production Commissioner, Govt. of U.P. on 4th August 2011
A high-level team led by Shri Alok Rajan, then Agricultural Production Commissioner, Govt. of U.P., which included Shri Sushil Kumar, Principal Secretary, Agriculture Education & Research; Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry; Commissioners of Chitrakoot and Jhansi; District Magistrates of several districts of the region; Director of C&DS and other dignitaries visited the University Campus on 4th August 2011. The team reviewed the progress made to date in construction and development of various buildings as well as the preparedness for the commencement of first Academic Session. Several important decisions were taken about the infrastructure and academic issues that helped the University in expediting the work. The dignities also planted saplings on the Campus to memorialize their visit to the University.
Review of the University Progress by Principal Secretary (AER), U.P. on 19th May 2012
A high-level team led by Shri Rajiv Kapoor, then Principal Secretary, Agriculture Education and Research, Govt. of U.P., which included Dr. J.S. Sandhu, ADG, ICAR, New Delhi; Dr. Mukesh Gautam, Director Agriculture, U.P. and Dr. R.S. Rathore, DDG, UPCAR visited the University Campus on 19th May 2012. The team inspected various projects under construction including boundary wall, College of Agriculture, College of Horticulture, College of Forestry, College of Home Science, College of Veterinary & Animal Science, Administrative Building, Residential Block, and Hostels. Then the team had a meeting with the officials of C&DS and Ramky Infrastructure Ltd. and reviewed the progress made in the construction and problems being faced in the completion of these projects. The team also had a brief interaction with the students and listened to their difficulties such as shortage of drinking water, non-availability of Campus roads and hostels, and long cuts in electricity supply coming through a rural feeder.
Visits of High-level Team of National Rainfed Agriculture Authority, Govt. of India in 2011 and 2013
A high-level team led by Dr. J.S. Samra, then Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of National Rainfed Agriculture Authority, Planning Commission, Govt. of India visited Banda on 12-13 July 2011 to review the progress made under “Bundelkhand Drought Mitigation Package”. During the visit, Dr. Samra and few other members visited the University Campus and had a close interaction with the Vice Chancellor, Dr Aulakh. Dr. Samra described the upcoming University as an important asset for Bundelkhand farmers. Dr. J.S. Samra, CEO and Dr. K.S. Ramachandra, Technical Expert (Animal Husbandry and Fisheries) NRAA again visited the University on 14th November 2013. They appreciated the fast developments in the University that have taken place in a short period. They took a keen interest in the University as they were of the view that the development of agricultural production technology by the University scientists would lead to the enhancement of the capacity building of farmers of the Bundelkhand region.
Visits of DG and DDG of U.P. Council of Agricultural Research
Dr. R.S. Rathore, then DDG of U.P. Council of Agricultural Research (UPCAR) visited the University Campus on 19-20 April 2012 to obtain first-hand information about the progress, challenges and future requirements of the University. He had interactions with the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Comptroller, faculty members and students individually and together. Also, he had a meeting with the officials of C&DS. He made a round of various buildings under construction as well as nearby sites including Ken River, which has the potential for short and long-term water supply to the University Campus to meet its requirements for drinking water and irrigation. Based on his visit and observations, Dr. Rathore submitted a detailed report to Principal Secretary (AER) on the status on the University and its immediate requirements both in infrastructure and Academics.
Later on Dr. Rajendra Kumar, Director General of UPCAR along with Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Deputy Director General of UPCAR visited the University Campus on 26th March 2014 and interacted with the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Comptroller, faculty members and students individually and together to review the progress and future strategies made by the University authorities for meeting challenges in Bundelkhand region. During his address to the faculty members of the University, Dr. Rajendra Kumar suggested that in Bundelkhand region, more focus should be given towards agroforestry, watershed management, pulses and oilseed crops, breed improvement in cattle, goatry and sheep rearing to increase the income and living standards of socially poor families.
Visit of Vice Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramoday University, M.P. on 1st April 2014
Dr. N.C. Gautam, Vice-Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya University visited the University Campus on 1st April 2014 and had interactions with the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Comptroller and faculty members. During his address, Dr. Gautam shared some tips from his vast experience and gave some valuable suggestions to the newly recruited faculty members.
Visits of the Nodal Officer of U.P. Govt. on 25th September 2013
The Nodal Officer appointed by U.P. Govt. for the overall development of Banda District Shri Manoj Kumar, Principal Secretary (Viklang Vikas) along with Shri G.S. Naveen Kumar, DM of Banda and several other Officers visited the University Campus on 25th September 2013 and had a meeting with the University Administration and Teachers. The Vice Chancellor made a presentation showing the Academic activities, infrastructural developments and problems of the University. He also went around, seeing the facilities created until then.
Visits of the BOM members
Several non official members of the BOM of the University visited the University Campus on different occasions and acquainted themselves with the progress, problem and future planning for the further improvement in teaching, research and extension activities.
